Disordered Ultra-cold Atomic Gases

The physics of ultracold gases entered a new phase in which it is merging with condensed matter and solid state physics, quantum information and even high energy physics. In particular, ultra-cold gases in optical lattices can be used as quantum simulators of various versions of Hubbard models. 

Particularly interesting here is the possibility of studying influence of disorder on such systems. In this project we investigate the possibilities for generation and analysis of various types of glasses (Bose-Anderson, Lifhsits, and spin glasses), quantum percolating systems, quantum localized systems, and disordered superconductors. We recently expand this lines to classical NP hard disordered systems that can be studies by quantum imperfect computers and quantum  annealers. Also, disorder  and quasi-disorder is studied in superconducting chains, fluctuating bonds superconductivity, and many body localization.
