ICFO launches new Fellowship award for female students

ICFO is very pleased to announce the formal launch of a call for a new fellowship award for female students. The María Yzuel Fellowship Awards aims to attract outstanding female students to conduct a research internship or Masters Thesis in an ICFO research group. By offering young women the possibility to explore science in a stimulating and supporting environment, these awards aim to attract, retain and promote female talent towards future research careers in the photonic sciences.
The Fellowship program is named in honor of Prof. Dr. María Josefa Yzuel Giménez, a respected leader and role model in the international Optics community. She is also a longstanding advocate for the promotion of the role of women in science and an active member of the Asociación de Mujeres Investigadoras y Tecnólogas (AMIT-Association of Women Researchers and Technologists).
The deadline for application to this call is April 22, 2019
